This recipe is from a wonderful chef and friend, Carmelita. Since she shared the recipe with me, we eat this meal almost weekly. The dish is a delicious and easy weeknight dinner. Wildtree’s Pacific Fusion adds a wonderful smoky Asian flavor to the dish with just a touch of heat. Chicken or shrimp are great substitutes for beef. Just use what you have on hand.
Leftover are delicious the next day for lunch served in a whole wheat tortilla as a healthy wrap.
1 lean steak such as flank steak, thinly sliced
1 small container of cherry tomatoes
1 bundle of asparagus, spears cut in half
Wildtree Grapeseed Oil
Wildtree Pacific Fusion
Rice
Saute the asparagus and tomatoes in grapeseed oil until they are nice and roasted.
Remove them from the pan and add the steak.
After the steak has seared, pour 1/3 to 1/2 cup of Wildtree Pacific Fusion (to taste).
Cook until the steak has reached your desired temperature and add the asparagus and tomatoes to the pan to reheat and mix with the sauce.
Serve over rice.
Enjoy!
